Hi, my name is Sarah Kouch and I am a designer with a passion for creating functional layouts with continuous user flow & engagement.
I believe that great designs should both: solve problems & showcase practical elegance.
My passion for design started when I was in elementary school. I would create PowerPoint presentations with as many colors, fonts, photos, and transitions as humanly possible — they will never see the light of day. Once I got to high school, I learned the Adobe Suite and was inspired.
Since focusing on layout design, I have learned that beauty and purpose work together in a project. When they don't, the user is confused and bored. I often think the user is similar to Alice, in Alice and Wonderland — lost and wanting more — and we as designers need to help lead them. Alice said it best,
"Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?" said Alice.
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat.
I love working in the design industry and on my days off the creativity doesn't stop! I love creating in my digital playground, exploring new worlds on & off the screen through movies, books, and trailblazing with my faithful puppy.
I specialize in UX design with the goal of creating clear, intuitive, and engaging digital experiences. With expertise in tools like Figma and InVision, I design responsive websites and mobile apps, as well as interactive prototypes that are both practical and visually appealing.
My approach blends a deep understanding of user behavior with a clean, vibrant aesthetic, ensuring each project is not only functional but also delightful. I focus on extensive research and ongoing assessment throughout the design and testing phases to ensure the final product is user-friendly and meets the needs of the target audience.
My portfolio spans a range of projects, including websites, mobile applications, magazines, posters, and books, all underpinned by a strong grasp of hierarchy and visual communication.
I have worked on a variety of projects over the years and each project has taught me a lot. Every opportunity big or small has been used to help further my knowledge.
